Fund statement (Ledger Statement) includes all such entries where funds have been debited / credited to your trading account. Such debits / credits can happen either due to addition / withdrawal of funds by you from / to your bank account, for settlement of transactions done on the exchange, for levying any charges etc.

However, it is important to understand that despite all the entries being shown in your funds statement, not all of it can be withdrawn / used for margins. Let's understand 2 types of balances:

1) Net Fund Balance: This is the sum total of all your debit / credit entries in your funds statement, and represents your net funds.

2) Withdrawable Fund Balance: This is the balance that if you wish you can withdraw from your trading account to your bank account, by placing a withdrawal request. Your withdrawable balance may differ from the Net fund balance (as per the funds statement) in your account since funds from equity and derivatives trades are not settled immediately. Trades on stock exchanges get settled on T+1 day (For F&O segment) and on T+2 day (For Equity segment).  You will only be able to withdraw funds that are settled into your account.

Withdrawable fund balance is calculated as:   Net Fund Balance - Unsettled Credit Entries
